If the road to Hell is paved with good intentions, the road to heck is paved with good intentions and imperfect execution. Bella Cuba's intentions are in the right place; it's the execution that leaves something to be desired. A mixed seafood stew would be quite tasty if not for overcooked calamari, tiny and tasteless mussels, and a nasty piece of swordfish. There are bright spots though: terrific ham and chicken croquetas and a sprightly Caribbean-style rack of lamb. An odd coconut flan isn't redeemed by good intentions.
