Sometimes Miami’s young and hip need a little less art-walk crowds with their art and booze. The Bass Museum of Art’s monthly soiree, Beats After Sunset, provides just that with music, drinks, and mingling around its exhibitions. Every first Friday of the month, Beats After Sunset features a different DJ, a mixologist serving a several drink options, and snacks for attendees looking to soak up some liquor and culture. Guests can take their time perusing the artwork or enjoying the view from the terrace. Current exhibitions include “Vanitas: Fashion and Art,” curated by Harold Coda, Darío Escobar’s vessels from the museum’s collection, and Florida’s only Egyptian gallery. Beats After Sunset runs from 8 to 10 p.m. this Friday at the Bass Museum of Art (2100 Collins Ave., Miami Beach). Admission is $10 for nonmembers and free for members.
