In honor of National Ice Cream Month in July, YVE Hotel has partnered with local craft ice cream company Sweet Melody to create YVE-inspired flavors, exclusive to the downtown Miami hotel. Flavors include Bouquet of YVE – a roasted strawberry ice cream infused with Cabernet, sweet cream and roasted pistachios, and YVE’s Lavender Delight – a unique lavender-infused peach ice cream with Amaretto, sprinkled with toasted almonds. These flavors will debut to the public on the Fourth of July during the first Sweet Melody Pop-Up at YVE Hotel. Flavors can be purchased for $3 for one scoop and $5 for two scoops. Pop-ups will continue throughout the summer on the second Thursday of each month from 3 – 7 p.m. These exclusive flavors will also be incorporated into the hotel’s restaurant menu at Biscayne Tavern.
In addition to these YVE exclusive flavors, guests and locals will also be able to purchase some of Sweet Melody’s favorites including Let It Brie, a brie cheese infused ice cream with apricot jam swirl and Churros con Cajeta, a churro flavored ice cream with goat’s milk cajeta.
Sweet Melody Crafted Ice Cream debuted a little over six months ago and is the brainchild of Mike Romeu, Miami native who has been in the food and beverage industry his entire life. This artisan ice cream company uses only the finest ingredients and most exotic flavors, free of GMO sweeteners and hormones. Named after his four-year old daughter Melody, the product is currently only sold in two restaurants in Coral Gables, with ice cream orders typically selling out before anticipated.
