This is a learning and living series providing practical health and wellness information to improve daily living via integrative approaches to healthy living and wellness.
Presented by the Sacred Space Miami in collaboration with The Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine on The Sacred Space Miami Campus.
During this workshop, we will discuss the definition and background of mindfulness and mindfulness based programs. The latest research on the neuroscience of mindfulness and the brain areas that are known to change with mindfulness training will be discussed. Then experience a mindfulness practice guided by Dr. Castellanos, followed by inquiry, dialogue, and a Q&A. Bring a notebook or pad, a pen, yoga mats, cushions, and a blanket.
