305-361-5811 Key Biscayne is one of those places where none of us spend enough time. This breathtaking little island offers all kinds of wonders, of which Cape Florida State Recreation is one. This lighthouse, part of Bill Baggs State Park, stands 95-feet-tall as a throwback to Miami's days gone by. Built in 1825, it's the oldest structure still standing in Miami-Dade. Miami Marine Stadium

3601 Rickenbacker Causeway Key Biscayne, FL 33149
305-361-3316 Miami Marine Stadium is one of those rare, one-of-a-kind landmarks you'd only find in the 305. This stunning Modernist creation was originally built on Virginia Key as the first purpose-built venue for powerboat racing in the U.S. In the years following, the bayfront Ley Biscayne locale hosted rock stars, presidents, major sporting events and earned itself a place in the history books. Sadly, it fell into disrepair, but the good news is, a restoration plan has been approved and Friends of Miami Marine Stadium are spearheading fundraising and refurbishment efforts. A bright future is ahead for one of Miami's most remarkable assets, and we can't wait for the final product. More >>
