http://www.clubboi.com "The number one club for the brotha." Don't let the name of this club fool you. These are some real men - well hung and swangin' that thang. Club Boi is the only black-owned gay club in South Florida, and it serves as a welcome alternative to the same old stuff on South Beach. There is nude male dancing, and the vibe is hot. Even for heteros, this club is a good time. Get out of the closet and get down at Club Boi. Read more about this Miami bar or club >>
http://www.clubsugarmiami.com Who says gay bars are only on the beach? Twist ain't the only game in town, just ask the regulars at Club Azucar. This gay bar and drag palace is all kinds of flamboyant. Wednesday is Jock Night - featuring hottie hunks baring it in briefs, Thursday's all about the glam with Drag Wars and Saturday nights mean free house drinks till 11:30. Expect to dance your saucy little heart out. And with regular drink specials like $2 Bud Lights and $4 Coronas - a night of flaming fun doesn't have to break the bank. http://www.discotekka.com This downtown gay club is located in an enormous old warehouse next door to its hetero sister club, Mekka. Literally the size of an airplane hangar, Discotekka is a wildcard in the Miami gay world, and an alternative to the more touristy and stereotypical South Beach boy bars. Discotekka stays open all night, through the morning, into the afternoon, and all the way into the next night. The three-room space features seating areas; bottle specials; dancing trannies; theme-night parties; and pop, house, reggaeton, and hip-hop music. The cover is rarely under $10. It's also less of a tourist draw than the SoBe clubs, which, if you're looking for more than a one-night stand, is a very good thing. Read more about this Miami bar or club >>
http://www.facebook.com/jamboreelounge This gay and drag bar in the Upper Eastside MiMo District of Miami offers lively people watching and cheap drinks. http://www.movalounge.com Winner of New Times' Best Miami Beach Gay Bar, Mova is prettier than a Jonas brother. A hop away from Lincoln Road, it's located right in front of The Frieze ice cream shop, and easy to spot by all the manicured twinks lined up outside waiting to get in.There, what it lacks in cheap drinks, is made up in atmosphere and crowd. Beating to a steady stream of loungey house music, the bartenders serve up powerful concoctions that will leave the rookiest in your group woozy by the end of the night. But, call it your starter drink. With its easy location, you can jump from here to any of the other dance clubs nearby. There is no cover. Read more about this Miami bar or club >>
http://www.palacesouthbeach.com Stop by the Palace for a very South Beach experience. The place puts on drag shows every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and offers a Sunday "Brunchic." For the $30 brunch, guests get unlimited mimosas and a menu that changes weekly, rotating steak, salmon, pancakes, and other brunch fare. Also of note is the Palace burger ($10.95), featuring a turkey patty topped with chipotle aioli and served with fries or salad. The Palace also proffers assorted salads, sandwiches, and wraps. Food here is generally of higher quality and lower cost than at other eateries on Ocean Drive. The restaurant is split into two bars: one indoor and designed for nighttime use, and the other semi-outdoors. There is also a patio laid out with dining tables. Entertaining drag queens make the service friendly. Call ahead for the drag show during Sunday brunch. Read more about this Miami bar or club >>
http://www.ramrodbar.com Leather and light spirits, despite the serious sexual energy and sex-toy shop, make this indoor/outdoor bar a great place to hang out -- or to pick up. Read more about this Miami bar or club >>
http://www.scorebar.net Adonis is in the house, South Beach style. Good luck getting past the attitude, though. Since its inception Score has been the epicenter of the well-coifed and tightly muscled set, and it can be tough to break into those tight-knit cliques, though things get looser as the night goes on. http://florida.swingingrichards.com Make no mistake, this moniker is entirely literal. A trip to Swinging Richards will reveal more swinging, gyrating, helicoptering schlong then you ever thought possible. Everywhere you turn, dick, dong, one-eyed monsters, on full, fleshy display. From buffed up dudes to short and skinny, the dancers run the gamut, but all go full frontal when they take the stage. Gay porn plays on screen, and dancers often disappear behind the curtains with wide-eyed patrons. But remember ladies, this is primarily a spot for gay male patrons - so no bachelorette bacchanalia or wild antics. Women are welcome, but bringing a dude in tow is definitely recommended. The cover ranges from $10 to $15 depending on the night, and they've got food and plenty of booze. So pay your friend Dick a visit. His drinks aren't the only things that are stiff. http://www.twistsobe.com A mainstay on Washington Avenue for over 15 years, Twist is the mother hen of South Beach gay clubs. Inside the spacious club you'll find seven different bars; a tiki bar, something called a "Frolic Lounge," a salsa room in the bottom floor, and a house music dance floor at the top. Still one of the few places where you can find go-go dancers at midnight on the beach, Twist is open seven days a week from 1 p.m. to 5 a.m. It's conveniently located near the popular 12th street gay beach, and the 11th street diner where Will Smith's "Miami" was shot. No cover, and open to 21+ only. Read more about this Miami bar or club >>
