Gramps

Gramps

In addition to the air conditioning, cold beer and cocktails as their entrance advertises, Wynwood's Gramps is home to lots more. Like rock acts on the regular, DJs spinning vinyl and plenty of dance space.
Story Nightclub

Story Nightclub

Where did the Heat team celebrate their 2013 championship -- and rack up a $100K tab? Meet Story. That parable should say it all about this 27,000 square foot SoBe dance club's prestige factor.

  • SAS Martini Lounge

    SAS Martini Lounge

1814 Harrison St. Hollywood, FL 33020
    954-589-1928

http://www.sasmartinilounge.com Formerly known as the Sauer Apple Saloon, the SAS Martini Lounge is everything but a bar that can be found in an old Western movie. The bar's recent face-lift is that of a upscale club meets trendy beach hangout, minus the hassle of VIPs and velvet ropes. The dimly lit lounge is illuminated by paper lanterns dangling above the dance floor, with wooden mirrors lining the walls and mod couches for a cozier option opposite the metal high-top chairs. The dance floor is packed in the late-night hours, but during the day, the SAS Martini Lounge is a more relaxed environment. In staying true to its martini-lounge theme, the specialty drink menu is extensive, with flavorful and fruity cocktails. In addition to the full liquor and beer selections, SAS has a tapas-style menu with small-plate salads, traditional Greek platters, and baked Brie. Read more about this Miami bar or club >>

  • Shenanigans Sports Pub

    Shenanigans Sports Pub

3303 Sheridan St. Hollywood, FL 33021
    954-981-9702

http://www.shenaniganssportspub.com A few miles west of I-95 on Sheridan is the family-owned Shenanigans Sports Pub. Hanging in the front window is a giant Irish flag, but the interior's décor reflects that of a quintessential locals-only sports hangout. From the referee-uniform-clad bartenders to an anything-goes (and smoke-free!) atmosphere, Shenanigans is the place for sports junkies. Multiple TVs hang in various locations, the wood-paneled walls are decked out with neighborhood sports team memorabilia, and kitschy NASCAR lamps dangle over dimly lit pool tables. The jeans and T-shirt beer guzzlers can be heard either yelling at the television or singing along karaoke-style to the '90s cover band playing under the disco ball. In addition to a wide selection of beers, Shenanigans has a surprisingly large signature-cocktail menu, including the particularly refreshing palmetto cocktail, a mix of pink lemonade and sweet tea vodka. 1865 Hollywood Blvd. Hollywood, FL 33020
    954-921-0088

http://www.lapiazzapasta.com/index-1.html Set right in the hubbub that entertains Young Circle crowds in Hollywood, Sosta Lounge is a slick and modern bar mixing hookah smoke and chic couples sipping expensive bottles of wine outside, and lounge singers and trendy leopard couches inside. Lights glow through the gray granite bar top, and aqua-tiled pillars add colorful accents to the mostly neutral-toned room. Brick walls feature the funky water colors of the ever-whimsical Guy Buffett. Happy hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and dinner specials are available through La Piazza, a restaurant that's attached and under the same ownership. 954-556-7430

http://www.tequilaranch.com You may not want to return to the scene of the crime that involved a bucket's worth of Coronas and one too many rides on a mechanical bull, but if you can brave it, you'll be rewarded with standout Mexican fare for lunch, dinner or late-night dining. Try a plateful of salsa-covered scrambled eggs atop grilled corn masa and spicy Mexican home fries. Or the Sopes Distrito Federal or Pambazos Poblanos sandwich made with Puebla classic bread, scrambled eggs, chorizo, poblano salsa, refried beans, lettuce, and cheese.
