  • Champions Sports Bar

    Champions Sports Bar

1201 NW LeJeune Road Doral, FL 33126
    305-642-8200

http://www.championsmiami.com Nestled in a Courtyard Marriott off the Dolphin Expressway at LeJeune Road, Champions Sports Bar is a classy one of its kind. The room has the feel and décor of a South Beach lounge, with wood-trimmed walls and a curvilinear design. Seating is divided among corner booths, tables, patio, bar, and buffet. Plasma TV sets showing sports line the walls - each booth has its own TV screen. Other entertainment includes weekly trivia, free UFC viewing parties, and occasional live music and comedy. Food here is good and priced right: The blue cheese and onion burger ($10.95) is tops, and so is the Philly cheese steak ($10.95); shaved beef with onions, mushrooms, and melted provolone comes on an original Amoroso roll. The BLT wrap ($10.50) is less recommended because of its fast-food taste. The bar offers daily drink and food specials, including a $3 Sam Adams draft and half-priced nachos on Fridays. Champions is great for both locals and hotel guests. Read more about Champions Sports Bar >>

  • Miller

    Miller's Ale House Doral

    3271 NW 87th Ave. Doral, FL 33172
    305-629-9442

http://www.millersalehouse.com If you like watching sports at a crowded bar in Kendall, this is the place. There are over 30 HDTV sets around the bar area, all tuned to whatever games are on. Yet, this place seems to know how to pack ’em in without giving up its Cheers-like friendliness because not only can you you imbibe here, but you can also ingest. Appetizers include the ubiquitous nachos, wings, and spinach dip, but are all executed well and filled with tongue-tingling flavor. Be pleasantly surprised by the just-right jambalaya swimming with shrimp, sausage, chicken, peppers, tomatoes, onions, and rice ($10.95). Or try the sinful (in a good way) seafood combo ($12.99); it comes with the usual suspects — shrimp, fish, clams, and scallops — plus sides of coleslaw and hush puppies. All dishes are perfect accompaniments for the plethora of foreign and domestic draft beers, as well as a variety of games playing on the many massive flat-screen TV sets. http://www.showbars.com/club_ppmia.html Tucked away in a quiet warehouse district, Pink Pony is a discrete strip joint for the family man slinking out for a night of debauchery. The vibe, from the signage to the interior, is '80s old-school, and the drinks are priced accordingly: Cocktails cost $4 to $9, with well drinks and domestic beers going two-for-one daily between 1 and 8 p.m. The third Tuesday of every month, the club hosts a theme party with a motif such as medieval times, punk, or body painting. Pink Pony is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. Read more about Pink Pony >>
