Spanglish Cocktail Bar Pops Up at the Broken Shaker. Spanglish, a Central American craft cocktail bar listed on World's Best Bars, has crossed the Caribbean and made its way to Miami. For one night, tonight, Spanglish will take over the Broken Shaker. Key West by Nikki Beach Opens. Key West, Nikki Beach's new seafood restaurant, debuts today. Situated on the ground floor of the luxury beach club, which is located in Miami Beach's South of Fifth neighborhood, Key West has the vibe of a rustic seaside bar, with whitewashed walls, beach furniture, and blue and white accents. In light of the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Irma, owner Jack Penrod, who was raised in the Keys, will display sea-inspired art by Key West artists throughout the restaurant. Christmas-Themed Pop-Up Bar Takes Over Fado Irish Pub. The holiday spirit just blew into Brickell with a pop-up bar at Fado Irish Pub. Christmas on 10th St. has transformed the Irish pub into a festive holiday fete complete with floor-to-ceiling decor, lights, trees, and plenty of mistletoe. Holiday-themed cocktails ($12) include the Cold Chocolate, with peppermint vodka, Bailey's, double chocolate cocoa, and whipped cream; the Bulleit-Proof Nog, with Bulleit bourbon, Rumchata, spiced eggnog, and whipped cream; and the Peppermint Mule, with peppermint vodka, Crabbie's alcoholic ginger beer, fresh mint, and cranberries. Christmas on 10th St. will also offer sweets and treats such as Santa's red velvet cake ($10); the 24 Carrotone, with golden raisins, pineapple, and cream cheese frosting ($10); and Jack Frost's white chocolate key lime pie ($7). Palace Bar Reopens on Ocean Drive. The Palace Bar, the long-standing mecca of food, drinks, and entertainment in Miami Beach, has reopened in a new home right on Ocean Drive. The Palace closed with a blowout celebration July Fourth, when owner Thomas Donall vowed to reopen the iconic LGBT hot spot at "a bigger location that has a hotel and make it an LGBT center." Donall made sure to keep the Palace in the hearts and minds of the community by hosting a weekly tea dance at the Clevelander until the new space was ready. The larger location features indoor and outdoor space, including a front patio with awnings allowing the famous Palace girls to perform unencumbered. Donall says that, although he looked at other spaces in South Beach, it was important for the Palace to remain on Ocean Drive. "If I took it off the Drive, it would never have been the same.
