Today, it mostly marks the unofficial end of summer, with most people enjoying barbecues, pool parties, and a day off from their labors. 

So go ahead and enjoy a day off from work. Here are the best places to lounge, eat, and drink in Miami.

The Anderson
On Sunday, September 4 from 8 p.m. - 2 a.m., the Anderson turns into the Soul Kitchen with soul music, food specials, and complementary gin and juice from Tanqueray. 

Broken Shaker
On Sunday, September 4 , enjoy a BBQ with chef Jimmy Lebron poolside. From 3 - 8 p.m. wnjoy Shaker cocktails and good old American barbecue items. 

Cafeina

Cafeina has a host of Labor Day weekend events, starting Thursday, September 1, with WINWood Gamebar with $4 BBQ and $ craft beers all night while you enjoy Super Nintendo and other retro video games. On Friday, come out to Wynwood Piano Bar from 5 - 8 p.m. with $5 beer, wine, well drinks, and select cocktails. Corona and tequila are $5 from 10 p.m. until closing. On Saturday, enjoy $7 cosmos and dirty martinis all night.
The Gale Rooftop's Bubbles & BBQ

On Sunday, September 4, enjoy cocktails from the Regent Cocktail Club and BBQ-inspired cuisine from Dolce Italian while catching some ocean breezes from 6 - 11 p.m. Ketchy Shuby performs live and DJ duo Paperwater will mix classics. Tickets ate $15 and includes a complimentary Veuve Clicquot cocktail upon arrival, along with preferred admission to Rec Room later in the evening. Izzy's Fish & Oyster
Izzy's celebrates Labor day with brunch served every day from Saturday through Monday. In addition, from Friday through Monday, enjoy Izzy's shuck-a-buck special. When you purchase any bottle of wine or champagne, shucked oysters are $1 each — or a buck a shuck!

Mondrian South Beach
On Sunday, September 4 starting at 1 p.m., enjoy a carnival-themed party with jugglers, a big top, stilt walkers and more. Drink specials include $100 rose magnum bottles. There is a $700 food and beverage minimum for cabanas and a waived dock fee for boats. There's a $50 food and beverage minimum. On Monday, September 5th at 1:00 pm until sunset, join the Mondrian pool party with $100 rose magnum bottles, a live DJ, paddle boarding, jets skis, and kayak rental. A $50 food and beverage minimum is required.

Radio Bar
On Sunday, September 4, starting at 9 p.m., join in karaoke fun at Radio Bar. Drinks specials ensure you have the liquid courage you need to get up and sing. 

Tap 42

Tap 42 hosts a three-day bottomless brunch to celebrate Labor Day. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., chow down on brunch favorites and enjoy bottomless mimosas, bloody mary, and Funky Buddha Floridians for an additional $15.
