O, Miami 2016 Poetry Events at Various Locations: Miami's poetry fest is in full swing. Check out its lineup for a bevy of spoken-word soirees around the neighborhood.
Comedy at Sweat Records: Watch the standup group Casa de Ha Ha during Sweat's monthly comedy show.

Wednesday

Leadership talk with Victoria Rogers at the Wynwood Yard: Talk leadership in a relaxed and accessible setting with the New Tropic and Victoria Rogers, vice president of arts at the Knight Foundation.
The Superhuman Mind at Books & Books: Discover the wonders of the human brain with Berit Brogaard, PhD, and colleague Kristian Marlow, MA.

Thursday

Movies Under the Stars at Canvas Miami: Watch a screening of The Strongest Man, a movie created by locals and set in the 305. The comedy follows a local Cuban man on a quest to recover his most prized possession: his golden BMX bicycle. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and chairs are first come, first served.
Book readings at Miami-Dade Wolfson: Enjoy an evening of readings and Q&As through the National Book Foundation’s program 5 Under 35, which honors young fiction writers. The event is in partnership with Miami Book Fair International.

Friday

Big Night in Little Haiti at the Little Haiti Cultural Center: Head to Little Haiti to hear popular compas group Gabel.
River Cities Festival in Miami Springs: The annual fest includes crafts, food, drinks, entertainment, a bake-off, a 5K walk/run, and other fun.
