Food and art blend will blend at the eighth annual New Times' Artopia, presented by Miracle Mile and Downtown Coral Gables. On Thursday, February 19, the Coral Gables Museum celebrates an evening of creativity of all genres.

From 7 to 10 p.m., guests will experience sensory overload with live entertainment, performance art, and plenty of food at the event.

In addition, New Times will present the MasterMind awards, where three of Miami's most creative artists will be awarded a $1,000 cash grant. Each winners' work will be on exhibit during the evening, so you'll have a chance to discover our city's newest talent.

In addition to live music by SunGhosts and LIV resident DJ/producer Anthony Pisano and art being made on the spot by Torek Le Fresh, chalk artist Zero, and award-winning tattoo artist Tattoo Git, there will be plenty of food and drink — busting the "starving artist" myth.

Featured restaurants offering tasty bites include Trust & Company (manchego, bacon, and date croquetas with membrillo marmalade); Divino Ceviche (ceviche and arroz chaufa); MesaMar Seafood Table (fried rice and sashimi salmon); Los Ranchos Steakhouse (tenderloin beef fajitas and gallo pinto); Donut Divas (red velvet fried Oreos with homemade cream cheese); Barilla Pasta Truck (sampling pasta); and Taste of the Wild (pork belly taco with cilantro lime slaw)

Wash down the delicious food with Beck’s Beer, Finlandia Vodka cocktails, and Caribe Exotic Juice. If you need a boost, get a jolt of energy from Dunkin' Donuts hot and iced coffee and Monster Energy drinks.

General admission tickets are $25 through February 17 ($40 at the door) and include unlimited samples of food and drink.

VIP tickets are $45 through February 17 ($65 at the door) and include entrance to Artopia an hour early at 6 p.m. In addition, VIP'ers will receive a welcome glass of Voga Italia prosecco; Vintro Kitchen's premium food, featuring octopus and potato cannoli with piquillo pepper gel, lamb meatballs, and chocolate mousse with sea salt and olive oil; and interactive spin art and music by DJ Scratch Academy.
