Drop down and do the turkey gobble — Thanksgiving is almost here!

While the week of the fourth Thursday in November is typically reserved for feasting on pavo, congri, y yuca con la familia, it's also a time to party it up, burn all those pre- and post-Turkey Day calories, and share a drink with all your friends who are back in town.

So go ham on that pumpkin pie, eat that stuffing, and chug that coquito. Then hit up Miami's five best Thanksgiving parties of 2015.
The 13th Annual '80s Prom! With DJs Ray Milian, Tommy Gunn, and Carmel Ophir in the Upstairs Ballroom; and the State Of playing a full set of '80s covers in the Downstairs Lounge with DJs Hottpants, Lolo, and Sasha Lauzin. Wednesday, November 25, 9 p.m. Electric Pickle, 2826 N. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-456-5613; electricpicklemiami.com. Tickets cost $15 plus fees via wantickets.com. Ages 18 and up for ladies, and 21 and up for guys.

The 80's Prom is officially a teenager! Now all you have to do is tease your hair, rock that puffy pink dress, and turn that boom box up for the 13th edition of Sweat Records' Thanksgiving eve tradition. Going down at the Pickle this year, DJs Ray Milian, Tommy Gunn, and Carmel Ophir will be playing your fave new wave and dance hits in the Upstairs Ballroom. In the Downstairs Lounge, catch the State Of playing a full set of '80s covers with DJs Hottpants, Lolo, and Sasha Lauzin spinning booty jams, freestyle, hip-hop, and guilty pleasures. In the spirit of prom, there'll also be a prom photo booth, slow dances, and $5 punch all night.

Appetite for Destruction. Thanksgiving Eve with Otto Von Schirach, Lazaro Casanova, Nala, and CocoHara. Hosted by Hosted by OJ + Cigs, Typoe, Michelle Leshem, MokiBaby, Tom Tuna, Charlotte Wright, Denio Alberto, Caroloka, Simone Worsdale, Jochy, and Mitch Barrios, with an art installation by MakeupbyAileen. Wednesday, November 25, 10 p.m. Libertine, 40 NE 11th St., Miami; 305-363-2120; libertinemiami.com. Admission costs $10.

Forget turkey — this Thanksgiving, Miami's got an Appetite for Destruction. Feed it with the basstastic tunes of the 305's papaya master, Otto Von Schirach, newly-minted Murk Records manager, Lazaro Casanova, and all your local favorites at Libertine. End the night on a sweet note with an art installation by MakeupbyAileen and a free drink (with a $10 cover, of course).

The Rock 'n' Wobble Before the Gobble Gobble. With Blaze Carreras. Wednesday, November 25, 9 p.m. Sidebar, 337 SW 8th St., Miami; 786-703-6973; facebook.com/sidebarmiami

Sure, you've heard of the Whip and Nae Nae, but have your head of the Rock 'n' Wobble Before the Gobble Gobble? We doubt it. See what it's all about at Sidebar. With sick beats from Blaze Carreras, you'll be wobblin' and gobblin' your way to the 26th.
Lavish Jetway Party. Saturday, November 28, 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, 1420 Lee Wagner Blvd., Fort Lauderdale; 305-707-7495; thelavishevent.com. Tickets cost $15 to $1,000 for the “arrive by plane” option.

Here’s something that surprisingly exists: a party at an airplane hanger at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. In celebration of the local DJ Fergie’s birthday, the folks at the Lavish Event have rented out an airport hanger and are going to fill it with lavish things and lavish people. There’s even an “arrive by plane” option for $1,000 where “you will arrive on the tarmac directly inside of the party. Upon arrival you will be escorted to your exclusive VIP area and will be served two (2) premium bottles of your choosing.” We're not 100 percent sure what to expect at this party, but how could you not want to find out?

Camp Chippewa: Thanxgiving for All. With Seafoam Walls, Killmama, Euro Asia, and more. Thursday, November 26, 9 p.m. Churchill's Pub, 5501 NE 2nd Ave., Miami; 305-757-1807; churchillspub.com. Admission is free. Ages 18 and up.

Camp Chipppewa may be a boys summer camp located in the Chippewa National Forest on Cass Lake near Bemidji, Minnesota, but on Thanksgiving, Churchill's will turn into Miami's Turkey Day hideaway. Once you've had your last piece of pecan pie and need a break from hearing your abuela constantly ask when you're finally gonna get married, head on over to Little Haiti for some live tuneage and late night shenanigans.
