Sure, you could go buck wild on the Beach and party it up for 48-hours straight... Or you can have an equally fun weekend jam-packed with pretty good music and chill crowds without spending more than a Hamilton.

It's totally up to you. But if you'd rather not spend the rest of the week scraping for food, we suggest you pick the latter.

Cave of Swimmers' Reflection Release Show. With Shroud Eater, Orbweaver, Wrong, Künt Knuckles, and Crud. Dive into the "fast, slow, spooky, sludgy, progressive" world of the 305's Cave of Swimmers as the Miami rockers rage it up for their Reflection release party.

Baila "De Cara al Sol" as the "José Martí of Miami's Latin funk scene" bring that "poetry and fuego" to the Pineapple Stage at Ball & Chain. 


Palo! Friday, May 8, 10 p.m. The Stage, 170 NE 38th St., Miami; 305-576-9577; thestagemiami.com. Admission costs $10. Ages 21 and up. "Dale Palo" with the Magic City's 2015 Grammy-nominated rumberos as los músicos play their last show at the Stage before the Design District nightclub shuts its doors. 


Crew Love. With Wolf + Lamb, Nick Monaco, Navid Izadi, and others. Presented by the Secret Garden and the Electric Pickle. Saturday, May 9, 4 to 11 p.m. The Electric Pickle, 2826 N. Funky beats from Wolf + Lamb, Nick Monaco, and all your Pickle and Secret Garden faves. Live art, free booze (but before 6 p.m.), and smoky barbecue — that's just how Crew Love expresses its true love to the Magic City. 

Archival Feedback Release Party. With Dim Past, Fsik Huvnx, io.ko, and Bobby Flan with DJ sets by Coral Morphologic, Gulfstream, and Cheetah Flores. Saturday, May 9, 8 p.m. Miami Music Club, 91 NE 40th St., Miami; 305-299-5226; facebook.com/miamimusicclub. Admission costs $3. All ages. Discover Miami's "complex nature" through sound as Dim Past, Bobby Flan, and your local noise makers bring the "vinyl and printmaking art project" that is Archival Feedback to life at the Miami Music Club.


The Super Fuzz's Super Famous Release Party. With DJ Diem. Saturday, May 9, 9 p.m. Will Call, 700 NE 2nd Ave., Miami; 305-577-5900; willcallmiami.com. Admission is free. Ages 21 and up. In total Super Famous fashion, the Super Fuzz just isn't just gonna jam the night away at Will Call in celebration of their upcoming sophomore album — Chris Alvy and the SF crew are gonna go all out with live karaoke, a Super Famous dress-up competition, and a special drag performance from Ms. Yessinia Boom Boom Phillips before hitting the stage at midnight. 

Telekinetic Walrus & the Pride of Ions' The Spaceship With the Heavy Bass Bump Release Party. With Afrobeta, the Galactic Effect, and Master Feathers. Go for one last rager at 170 NE 38th Street as Telekinetic Walrus & the Pride of Ions launch their Spaceship With the Heavy Bass Bump and close off almost five great years of kick-ass music at the Stage's closing party.


Festival di Tre Viso. With Froe Char, Cellule 34, and Unur. Presented by Monotone. Saturday, May 9, 10 p.m. Railroad Blues, 30 NE 14th St., Miami; 786-516-3393; railroadbluesmiami.com. Ages 21 and up. Experience the three faces of "minimal electronic, coldwave, and dark synth music" as France's Froe Char, Brussels' Cellule 34, and Chi-Town's Unur take over Railroad Blues for the Festival di Tre Viso.
