The boy was born to play. From the age of six, Dauwd Al Hilali has been making music. Raised in Wales, he started with piano, guitar, and drums. Then he discovered that computers can make sounds too.

Since learning of digital circuitry's sonic capabilities, this Welshman, known to underground dance-music fans as Dauwd, has carefully honed his DJ-producer skills and mastery of all music-making machines while cultivating a distinctively cerebral yet funky techno-house sound.

After dropping his debut release on Pictures Music in 2011, he quickly cultivated the support of tastemakers like Jamie xx, as well as Ghostly International founder Sam Valenti IV and Kompakt label head Michael Mayer.

Now touring his new Jupiter George EP on Kompakt, Dauwd is coming to Bardot Miami for “his debut on the carpet” as part of local DJ and promoter Uchi's Cyborgs party.
