Good news for GastroPod's Jeremiah Bullfrog -- twice over.
First and foremost, Bullfrog confirms GastroPod will open at Aventura Mall's food court.

The restaurant will open sometime in February and is already listed on the mall's website, which describes GastroPod like this:
"One of Miami's top culinary artisans, Chef Jeremiah built his reputation through exciting and spontaneous contradictions. Both his cooking and personal style are a rich combination of the common and the exotic, and in the kitchen he draws heavily on Caribbean and Latin American traditions. GastroPod's constantly evolving menu combines the freshest seasonal fish, meats and produce with experimental preparation techniques, and it's always served up with a laid-back, homestyle vibe."
At 2,700,000 square feet and housing more than 300 stores, Aventura Mall is the third-largest shopping mall in the United States. A planned expansion, once complete, will make the mall the second-largest in the nation.

The chef says opening there is "something of a homecoming for me. I grew up in North Miami Beach, basically going to the mall all the time."
This will be the second location for Bullfrog, who plans to make his Wynwood restaurant-in-a-container permanent. The chef launched a Kickstarter campaign at the beginning of the year to raise an additional $5,659 for landscaping, seating, permitting, and the "many, many other soft costs of opening."
With 14 days to go, Bullfrog exceeded his goal, with 57 backers pledging a total of $5,804.
It's not too late to fund the Wynwood location and get some free swag for your efforts, including a shirt, a cookbook, or an invite to the grand opening party.
Chef Jeremiah Bullfrog's Wynwood container is located at 160 NW 26th St. and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 3 p.m to 11 p.m. GastroPod at Aventura Mall will be open during regular mall hours.
