24. Oysters at Area 31
The oysters served at Area 31 are briny and delicious on their own, but you won't mind dressing them with chef John Critchley's tasty and tangy mignonette -- a mix of champagne vinegar, shallots, ginger, grains of paradise and lemon. Farmed by the Island Creek Oysters Company in Massachusetts's Duxbury Bay, where Critchley spent some time working, the oysters are served by the half-dozen ($17) during lunch and dinner.
