Easter. For some, the day means waking up before dawn to attend sunrise church services with family.
For others, it means an egg hunt with the kids, a parade with silly hats, or the celebration of spring.
Whatever the day means, it usually also comes with brunch, a large midday meal filled with buffets, food, and sweets. Some of the best restaurants in Miami are offering feasts featuring treats for everyone -- and lots of mimosas.

From cocktail brunches for the grownups to waffles made by the Easter Bunny, here are our favorite Easter brunches in Miami:
Area 31
This restaurant with a killer view will serve an Easter Sunday buffet that includes
bottomless mimosas, red and white wine, and bloody marys. Area 31's
Easter brunch costs $75 for adults and $35 for children.
Bianca at Delano
Easter brunch by chef Luciano Sautto will include fresh blinis, American caviar and smoked salmon, hand-sliced prosciutto, lamb chops, French toast sandwiches, and pan-roasted snapper. In addition, the restaurant will feature a cupcake tower and holiday display and host a classic egg hunt on the grounds of the hotel. $65 for adults, $35 for kids 12 and younger.
Bistro One LR at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach
Served from noon to 4 p.m., a special buffet
will include a raw bar, meat-carving
stations, champagne cocktails, and lots of chocolate. $95
for adults, $44 for children under 12. Includes live music.
Cafeina
If tradition isn't your thing, try RETOX. It's basically brunch with cocktails and features à la carte dishes such as green eggs and ham Benedict ($11, poached eggs, chive sauce, and
sweet smoked ham on whole-wheat toast); a breakfast burger ($12, half-pound Angus burger with sliced tomato, grilled red onion, spinach, bacon, and fried
egg on brioche); and crab cakes and eggs ($14). Enjoy any of those dishes while downing unlimited cocktails, mimosas, bloody mary's, and RETOX punch for an extra $25.
Calamari
Special Easter brunch with two seatings: 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 4 p.m. $34.95 per person.
Crave
A grand brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. features hot breakfast and lunch items, a carving station, a pasty table, and a cold buffet.

DB Bistro Moderne
Snails and foie gras for Easter? But of course! This three-course brunch features decadent items such as snail casserole, ricotta pancakes, homemade fettuccine with jamón serrano, and the original DB burger, filled with braised short rib, foie gras, and black truffle. $55 for adults, $30 for children under 10.
Devon Seafood & Steak
Easter brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. includes carving and omelet stations, fresh seafood, made-to-order Belgian waffles, and desserts. $32 for adults, $14 for kids 4 to 12.
Dolce Italian
Easter brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and features a three-course prix fixe menu. Starters include tri-colored salad, English pea soup, buffalo mozzarella, and prosciutto di parma. Entrées include grilled lamb chops, risotto a funghi, orata "gauzetto," and Easter quiche. Dessert options include chocolate mousse, tartufo limoncello, and torta della nonna. $55 for adults; kids can dine from a special menu for $25.
The Dutch
The Dutch is celebrating Easter with a special three-course brunch menu that includes endless champagne and bloody marys. First-course offerings include a warm potato latke with smoked salmon; granola parfait; and corvina ceviche. Entrées include the Dutch burger; soft-poached eggs with blue crab; seared sea scallops; and roast chicken. Dessert by pastry chef Josh Gripper follows. $80 for adults, $45 for children.
Edge Steak & Bar
Lavish Easter buffet featuring themed

Mercadito Midtown
Celebrate Easter in Mexico with huevos rancheros, estrellados y tampiqueña, enchiladas, carnitas hash, and classic tacos. Pancakes with manchego cheese, strawberry, cinnamon butter, and maple syrup give a new twist to a breakfast favorite. What's brunch without cocktails? Try a Maria Sangrita (tequila blanco, tomato, cucumber, orange, chile verde, and pomegranate); Guava Cava (cava, guava, and spice syrup); or Auntie Ox (green-tea-infused vodka, passionfruit, agave, orange, and guajillo).

Terrazza at Shore Club
The poolside restaurant offers a bottomless Easter brunch including a ceviche raw-bar carving station filled with oysters, king crab, and shrimp cocktails. Offerings include whole roasted prime rib, Chilean sea bass, sesame-crusted seared tuna, homemade Spanish ricotta raviola, and linguine vongole with white-wine reduction. Brunch is $55 per person. Ladies are invited to enjoy unlimited mimosas, bloody marys, and bellinis. Gentlemen receive the same treatment for a $20 upcharge. Seatings available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Vida
The Fontainebleau's American brasserie hosts an Easter brunch buffet that includes a raw bar, carving stations, and dessert display. Offerings include an omelet station, French toast, seasonal fruits, prime-rib- and ham-carving stations, rotisserie chicken and lamb, sautéed lobster and grouper, and woodstone-oven pizzas. $59 for adults; kids 4 to 12 eat half-price; kids under 4 eat free. Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kids who dine at Vida are also invited to participate in the hotel's Easter egg hunt.
