For over a year Hatuey beer has been making a comeback in South Florida, re-entering the market in the summer of 2011 and finding its way to bars and liquor stores. Then this month the company announced that it will start appearing throughout Broward store shelves and bar taps with a new label.

This Saturday in the Bacardi Room at the Coral Gables Museum from 7 to 9 p.m. Hatuey will be unveiling artwork that could possibly be its new label.

In August, Hatuey announced a contest called "Hatuey and the Arts," in which they challenged artists to create a new label for the brand. Ten

finalists were chosen and they will be touring with Hatuey throughout

Miami this month to showcase their work.

The new label artwork will be permanently displayed in the Bacardi Lounge at the Coral Gables Museum and also showcased at three other locations around Miami:

-Bakehouse Art Complex, November 16, 7 to 9 p.m.
-Sauma the Artist Gallery as part of Bird Road Art Walk, November 17, 7 to 9 p.m.
-Cuba Ocho as part of Viernes Culturales, November 30, 7 to 9 p.m.

If you plan on attending, you'll be delighted to know that cold and free Hatuey beer will be served along with hors d'oeuvres as refreshments for the exhibit. Free beer, food and art: can you think of a better reason to go? This Saturday come to Coral Gables Museum, stare at art and drink some alcoholic beverages.
