Closing time at a restaurant usually means that servers and bussers have gone home for the night, cooks have cleaned their stations, and the dishwasher is scrubbing pots, spraying mats, sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash. The dishwasher may well be the only person in the kitchen, and the back door is wide open.

Last night, according to Miami Dade Police (and CBS4) two armed men walked in the back door of  Hong Kong Chinese and Sushi Restaurant in Kendall, shot somebody, and left with cash.

We don't know yet who the man was, where he was shot, how much cash the robbers got, or their descriptions.

We do know that there are a lot of restaurants in Dade County, and that the back door to almost any of them is probably wide open almost anytime that anybody's there. Watch your backs kitchen staff.
