Mother's Day is fast approaching and unless you're planning on cooking up a storm for mom, we suggest you take her out to enjoy a nice meal. It's on May 9 in case you're drawing a blank. Here are our favorite options so far to celebrate this Mother's Day. And don't forget to reserve early.

Take her out to the farm

Escopazzo is organizing what sounds like a fun -- and different -- type of Mother's Day event. Meet at Escopazzo and take a ride down to Paradise Farms where chef Giancarla Bodoni will prepare a buffet lunch. Lunch is followed by a tour and wine tasting at Schnebly Winery. Price is $155 per person and that includes transportation, lunch, Schnebly Winery tasting and tour, a bottle of Schnebly wine and a $30 gift certificate to Escopazzo for mom. Kids pay $50. Departure from Escopazzo is at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Reservations required. Call 305-674-9450 or email [email protected]. If you'd prefer to drive, you have the option of meeting the group at the farm.

Pamper her

Spoil mom by taking her to the Mother's Day jazz brunch at The Setai

featuring the vocals of jazz songstress Nicole Henry. Brunch here goes

for $85 per person and includes a "Russian Standard Bloody Mary bar as

well as endless champagne from Taittinger's." We're all about the

endless champagne. The brunch menu includes breakfast favorites like

pancakes, Belgian toast and made-to-order omelets, as well as a raw

bar, sushi, carving stations, and desserts. Brunch will be served from

11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. 2001 Collins Avenue on South Beach,

305-520-6400.

Brunch with a view

Area31 will offer brunch between noon and 3 p.m. for $55 per person,

including unlimited mimosas, Bloody Marys and prosecco. Buffet includes

a raw and ceviche bar, breakfast staples and heartier options like

steak frites and grilled corvine with salsa verde and baked rigatoni.

Children ages 6 to 12 pay $22. 270 Biscayne Boulevard Way, 16th floor,

305-424-5234.

Kick back and relax

For moms who would enjoy something a bit off the beaten path, Red Light will be serving a special a la carte Mother's Day menu from

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Moms get free cava or mimosas and 50% off their meal.

7700 Biscayne Boulevard; 305-757-7773.

Take her to the beach

La Marea at The Tides is launching brunch on Mother's Day. For

$45 per person the restaurant offers an unlimited selection of small

plates such as crispy prosciutto and honeydew consommé shots, huevos

rancheros, roasted black grouper and chocolate brownies with spiced

Mexican eggnog. Caipirinha shots, Bloody Marys and champagne are also

included. Served from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. 1220 Ocean Drive;

305-604-5070.
