It's official, the third Miami outpost of World of Beer is making its way to midtown. The Tampa-based brew lover's paradise will be throwing open its doors this April.

It's only been a year since the Dadeland location started tapping kegs and screening sports -- and less than that for Kendall. But a visit to either jam-packed locale is plenty of proof that Miamians can't get enough craft beer these days.

They'll be the newest addition to the roster at The Shops at Midtown. No word yet on exact opening date, but mid-April is the word. Short Order has calls out to World of Beer reps, so we'll keep you updated on details.

The branches are known for having 500 brands of bottle beer, and 50 rotating on tap - everything from obscure craft brews to seasonal IPAs, and all that's in-between. They frequently showcase live music, and host tastings and tap takeovers.

The new spot's Facebook page also promises a "special surprise" for guests if they reach 1,000 fans by opening day.

You can check out progress towards opening on their website, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
