If you thought dining at Villa Mayfair with that special someone was financially unachievable, you were probably right. It's the kind of place you go to splurge on after you receive your tax return. But lucky for you, there's hope!

The brains behind Mayfair's operation are calling it Blush Wednesdays. It is an evening for those who simply aren't interested in spending a week's worth of grocery bills on one dinner.

Executive chef Frederic Joulin will prepare a prix-fixe menu every Wednesday and for a reasonable $35 you'll get a three-course dinner. Ladies receive free rose champagne and wine all night.

It's quite the deal if you consider that dinner and drinks for two at the Villa Mayfair could easily rack up a bill over $200. Unless you spend all night at the bar and forget to make best friends with the bartenders, you won't be spending 200 bucks on Wednesdays.

Don't worry about getting a watered down version of the menu, either. Last week's included these choices: caramelized tomato tatin pie or roasted rainbow beet salad to start. Blue crab stuffed filet of stole or risotto arborio (with artichokes and foie gras espuma) as an entree. For dessert, raspberry macaron or aphrodisiac berry fruit salad. If they're offering blue crab and foie for $35, you'd be cheap to miss out.

Remember, it's the Mayfair - you're paying to eat, drink, and be seen (especially the 'be seen' part).
