Andrew Zimmern certainly has good timing.
While his hometown of Minneapolis is entering what must feel like a new ice age, the talented host will be in Miami filming his web series Appetite for Life: DIY Kitchen this week.
This time, Zimmern isn't globetrotting to eat eyeballs and scorpions. He's visiting some of America's finest and most unique chefs, bakers, and artisanal food creators across America -- and his next stop is South Florida.
From sampling cortaditos at Panther Coffee to key lime pie with Fireman Derek, Zimmern is out to discover independent culinary craftspeople and hear their stories. His travels will be shown over several webisodes scheduled for a late-winter/early-spring release.
In the meantime, there are several shoots to which the public is invited. Though there's no guarantee you'll have any camera time, it's always fun to be part of a show being filmed.
Here's a list of shooting dates and locations that the public is welcome to attend (some other locations are being filmed during nonworking hours).
Exact times are TBA, so send an email to Katherine LeBlond, supervising producer, at [email protected] the day of filming for more information.
