Miss Yip Chinese Cafe downtown is starting a new nightly summer line-up. And the small chain has new owners. "We're thrilled to announce Prive Group Entertainment has officially purchased Miss Yip Chinese Cafe from Amir Ben Zion & Jennie Yip," states a representative from Prive Group. "We're planning on opening up many more Miss Yip's, as well as Miss Yip Express' in South Florida and beyond. [We] are excited to begin this venture with a new summer line-up at our downtown outpost."

Starting today (and for every Monday thereafter), Miss Yip downtown will spice-up the first day of the work week with 88-cent Sake Mondays. This means sake jugs, infused sake dispensers, sparkling sake and sake bombs will cost patrons less than a buck each. We suggest getting your sake bomb-banging finesse down ASAP.

Not the sake bomb type? Mellower spirits can enjoy Tea Time Tuesdays starting June 7. The new tea tasting series will take place during the evening hours and continue through the end of June. Miss Yip will also debut its new Happy Hour starting Friday, June 10. From 5 to 8 p.m, patrons can order two-for-one drinks and special bar menu items. DJ Ethics will spin from 8 p.m. until close. There will also be complimentary Chinese bar snacks available after happy hour.

And Miss Yip will introduce Late Night Saturdays; the restaurant will stay open until 5 a.m. and serve a limited menu to late night diners. Miss Yip is also putting its own spin on the monthly Second Saturdays series. Once the Wynwood Art Walk wraps-up, the restaurant will kick-off some live art and highlight local artists. The first Saturday event takes place on June 11.
