Remember when Critical Mass started and took the Magic City by storm? Now it's a citywide event where more than 1,000 people, sometimes including Gabrielle Union and D. Wade, ride 14 miles collectively to a finish line with Miami's own first ice cream bicycle. What you didn't know is that there's another bicycle event that's been going on for quite some time and hasn't really gotten much recognition. The PBR Crawl -- Pub Bike Ride -- is celebrating its one-year anniversary this Saturday, June 29, with bar hopping on wheels, which is exactly what they do every month.

Starting at 7 p.m. bikers and drinkers will gather at The Corner for a low-paced ride -- you are drinking and cycling after all -- with nothing but positive vibes and responsible drinking. Oh and there's eating too, so be sure to bring your appetite and your tires -- full of air.

Organizer Edgar Garcia has joined forces with the Magic City Bicycle Collective for the one-year anniversary party. The PBR crawl stops at four bars that serve PBR -- in honor of the ride -- that offer drink and food specials. The Corner will offer $2 PBR's from 7 to 8 p.m. for the warmup period before officially beginning the ride. Stop one is at Pub One where pedalists can get $3 beer specials. Churchill's Pub is up next with $2.50 PBR tall boys -- beer not cyclists. Ending the night at TSL -- the Social Lubricant Lounge -- in Wynwood with a party that constitutes no cover, a DJ, and four dollar 20-oz. PBRs, this is one hell of a ride -- literally.

"It's a very fun, friendly, and inviting ride. You'd be surprised at how uninviting and 'exclusive' some of the rides and cycling events are in Miami," says organizer Edgar Garcia.

The monthly ride takes place every last Saturday of the month. Edgar creates unique spoke cards for all the riders so they can put them on their bicycle wheels (because safety comes before fun), and since PBR sponsors the race along with Loco Fixiem there will be giveaway prizes, like a bicycle frame, going to whoever posts the best photo of the ride on Instagram using the hash tag #pbrmiami. Just make sure to be careful -- it's already enough to drink and bike, don't Instagram and bike too. Ride responsibly, Miami.
