Percy Palomino walked into his home in Southwest Miami-Dade at about 1 a.m. on Sunday only to find his wife, Elizabeth Palomino, dead laying in a pool of her own blood. Police are investigating the brutal murder, but so far have released no information on possible suspects of motives.

"The husband came out, freaking out, crying and saying she was found dead," neighbor Sydney Parker told Local 10.

Police were called to the home in the 13000 block of Southwest 156th Street shortly after Palomino made the gruesome discovery. Palomino was questioned, but released.

"It was really shocking, we're locking all our doors, all our windows," family friend Marynella Morales tells NBC Miami. "Really calm, really hard workers, they both owned their own company."

Police have released little other information other than that they believe the death was a brutal murder.
