Does bad news come in threes? With Macy's slashing 600 local jobs, the Miami Herald announcing imminent lay offs, it now seems Crispin Porter + Bogusky is joining the lay-off band wagon this week.
Ad Age reports that Crispin will be cutting 6% of its work force, that's about 60 people. Those cuts will be shared between their Miami and Boulder, Co. offices.
The locally founded agency is the infant terrible of the ad world. While they all too regularly make us raise an eyebrow with some of their stunt marketing, they recently walked off with the title of AdWeek's US Agency of the Year.
Sadly, all those job cuts between the Herald, Crispin, Macy's, oh, and those ballerinas, barely make a drop in the bucket of the 85,000 people expected to lose their jobs in Miami-Dade this year.
