Four Miami Beach buildings were tagged with messages of hate last night, and two of those were associated with the city's Jewish community.
Messages and symbols including "KKK," the anarchist symbol and bulls' eyes were scrawled in red paint.
The buildings hit included:
- The homeless outreach center at 555 17th Street.
- A Jewish women's prayer center at 2530 Pinetree Drive.
- The Scott Rakow Youth Center on Sheridan Ave.
- A condo building with several Jewish residents at 2851 Sheridan Ave.
And though the KKK is more associated with anti-Black racism, police believe that because of the timing during the Jewish holidays and the buildings targeted, that the vandals may have been guided by anti-semitism.
According to WSVN, if caught the criminal or criminals could face felony charges due to the amount of the vandalism and the possibility it may be considered a hate crime.
Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
