A new website survey has Miami just behind New York and Los Angeles in the first date category during the four weeks leading up to Valentine's Day.
Las Vegas and Chicago placed just behind us to fill out the top five.
Valentine's Day is the most popular date night of the year, according to the survey by WhatsYourPrice.com.
According to the website, men spent an average of $131.70 to buy a first date on the site. That figure has been rising in recent years.
"Our study revealed that as Valentine's Day neared, both the number of offers and the average first date price steadily increased," says Brandon Wade, the CEO and founder of WhatsYourPrice.com. The website sells first dates: "Offering money for a first date is rather unconventional in the dating world, but it proves that Valentine's Day is as important a holiday for singles as it is for couples."
