In today's roundup of the sins of South Florida: A former county employee faces 20 charges of child pornography, a man is killed after a fight at a South Beach club, a veteran security guard is mysteriously found dead behind a dollar store in Southwest Dade, two men are arrested for a fire extinguisher-assisted robbery, and a gold bar is stolen in Key West. Arrrgh.

Alan Randy Velez, 64, a former employee of Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation, has been charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of promotion.

Some of the images found on Velez's computer included children as young as infants in sexual poses. The arrest was part of an undercover police sting.

Hardware including computers, external storage drives, CDs, and DVDs were removed from his home to be searched for other images. [Herald | CBS4]
