The people who were stupid enough to think a movie starring Paris Hilton could be a box office smash are still trying desperately to recover their losses in a Miami court.
Hilton did something loosely resembling acting in the 2006 movie National Lampoon's Pledge This!, a horrible little thing about sorority life at the fictional South Beach University. The movie didn't even break even, probably because, hello, it was a horrible movie staring Paris Hilton.
However the investors have continually suited Hilton, claiming she didn't do enough to promote the film. They tried to suit Hilton for $8.3 million (even though, the flick cost only $7.5 to make), but they lost that last year. Now they are trying to persuade a judge to make Hilton pay restitution.
