eople tend to have hypocritical views about porn. Sure, it's a billion-dollar industry and almost everyone has watched some (and a whole lot of people have attempted making their own for private use), but we have a tendency to disparage the people who actually produce it.

Earlier this week, Riptide brought you the tale of Shawn Loftis, a Miami-Dade high school substitute teacher who got fired when it was discovered he moonlighted as gay porn star Collin O'Neal. Of course, he wasn't the first porn star to be fired from a day job for doing what we all do, except in front of a camera. Take a trip down memory lane with us for a short history of porn stars getting fired for their day jobs.

Tera Myers, AKA Tericka Dye, AKA Rikki Anderson
Job: High school science teacher
Porn Credits: TightAss, Major Slut, Wet Cum Shots 6

Between stints in the Army, Dye starred in a few pornos before attending college on the G.I. Bill. With her brief XXX career years behind her, she went on to quietly serve as a science teacher and volleyball coach at Reidland High School in Paducah, Kentucky. But officials canned her after her former career came to light. She changed her name and found a job teaching science in the Parkway School District in St. Louis County, Missouri, until a student discovered her skin flicks this year. Which led to another firing. Come on, is that any way to treat our military veterans?

Samantha Ardente
Job: High school administrative assistant
Porn Credits: Abuseurs en Série 2, Ado 101 - Pyjama Party, 1 Idiot Fourre 5 Gardiennes (we're sure those are very naughty in French)

Ardenter (her stage name) was working as an administrative assistant at a secondary school in Quebec, but apparently school employees aren't paid that much better in Canada, so she decided to moonlight in porn. Of course, a 14-year-old student recognized her and asked for her autograph. Word spread and Ardente ended up getting a pink slip [link NSFW].

Kurt Wild
Job: Subway sandwich artist
Porn Credits: Halloweiner: Friday the Fuckteenth, Young Dumb & Hung, Daddy Mugs Adventure

By day, Kurt Wild was a father trying to support two kids and a wife by working at everyone's favorite pseudo-healthy chain sandwich joint. By night, he was gay porn's loudest power bottom. A customer recognized Wild and threatened to boycott the restaurant unless he was fired. Subway execs caved in to the irate customer's demands, but you'd think they'd want to keep someone around who has so much experience handling footlongs.

Jessie Lunderby
Job: Arkansas corrections officer
Porn Credits: Playboy.com

We're not even sure if Playboy technically constitutes porn anymore, but regardless, Lunderby got pink-slipped from her corrections officer job last year after her spread was discovered. Apparently her bosses thought the news had become too much of a distraction around the prison. It didn't help, however, that she listed her actual job as a corrections officer on her Playboy questionnaire.

Carlie Christine
Job: High school cheerleading coach
Porn Credits: Playboy.com

Another Playboy.com spread, another pink slip. Christine was a cheerleading coach at Casa Robles High School in California until some girls she had cut from the team decided to inform the principal of her nudie pics. He didn't like the pompom shaker shaking her bonbons for the general public. She seems to be doing all right postfiring, though.

Mike Verdugo
Job: Hollywood Police officer
Porn Credits: Rope Rituals

Verdugo filmed a single bondage video in the '90s before going on to become a police officer in Hollywood, Florida. No one would have probably found out about his past, but Verdugo ended up appearing on an interior design competition on HGTV. The Internet being what it was, news of his porny past spread quickly. Verdugo ended up getting fired from his HPD job on a technicality (at least officially): He was required to disclose all previous employment when he was originally hired, but he hadn't noted the porn experience.

Kris Evans
Job: Hungarian police officer
Porn Credits: More Than You Can Handle, XL Files, Cocky Friends

In case you're wondering, some Hungarian police officers are also hung police officers, but their superiors would rather they not display that fact in public. Evans was working as a porn star for one of Europe's biggest gay porn studios while also holding on to his day job as a police officer in a small Hungarian town of about 10,000 people. He lost his job when his skin flicks came to light. [Link NSFW]

Frenchie Davis
Job: American Idol contestant
Porn Credits: Some topless photos

Whether or not you consider "reality TV contestant"
and actual job, we can all agree that Davis was working it during the second season of American Idol until producers kicked her off after topless pictures she had taken at age 19 surfaced. Though they never made it online, and Davis was up front about the pictures from the beginning, AI still booted her. Davis went on to Broadway stardom and recently returned to the small screen to finish in the top eight on The Voice.

Jazella Moore
Job: Wife of Fort Myers Beach's town manager
Porn Credits: Fuck My Mom and Me 5, MILF Mania 3, Hot Horny Housewives

Moore, a popular MILF performer, didn't even lose her job. Her husband did. As we told you in 2009, hubby Scott Janke, the town manager of Fort Myers Beach, was terminated by the town council after they learned of his wife's movies.
