It took Christopher Castillo less than 15 seconds to write "that's the last straw, if he gets re-elected I'm going to hunt him down and kill him watch the life disappear from his eyes" on Facebook. Now he'll spend 15 months in jail for it.
Castillo, 28 and of Melbourne, Florida, went on the Facebook rant just two days before last year's election. When a friend informed him in a comment that he could get in trouble for threatening to kill the president, Castillo wrote, "I wouldn't call it a threat but more of a promise, let them come after me ... Be more than happy to take a few of them with me."
Of course, when Secret Service agents did contact him Castillo said he still wanted to physically beat the president and thought that he was a terrorist.
Castillo will now spend 15 months in a federal prison. He had previously been convicted of the crimes by a federal jury. After his release he'll then serve three years of probation.
