For everyone patiently awaiting the next edition of the Miami International Film Festival like we are, there's finally a way to get a bit of a taste before the time comes around next March. That's right; this coming October 16 through 19, there's a mini-festival for audiences that will provide a "mid-season taste" of the festival's upcoming line-up. That taste comes in the form of MIFFecito, a "film festival fix" being held at Miami Dade College's Tower Theater.

The four-day event will feature eight to ten international, North American, and Florida red-carpet premieres accompanied by in-person appearances by visiting filmmakers and stars, which should be a great chance to get a look at what's to come of world cinema. But as exciting as this taste of cinema to next year's 32nd edition of MIFF is, they're also treating folks to free cafecito today!

In celebration of the MIFFecito program announcement taking place today, MIFF and the Tower Theater (1508 SW Eightth Street) will be giving away free cafecitos through their partner 3:05 Cafecito, the movement that declared 3:05 p.m. to be Miami's official coffee time. The invitation for a complimentary coffee break with espressos and cortaditos, served by Aroma Espresso, is open to the community today at 3:05 p.m.

So what are you waiting for people? Make your way on down to the Tower Theater, get some free coffee, and be ahead of the game by knowing exactly what films will be premiering at MIFFecito before everyone else!
