Usually, when film or TV projects come to town, the directors are extra-secretive about their sets. (Looking at you, Iron Man 3.)

Jon Favreau is not one of those directors.

While he was in Miami filming his upcoming movie Chef, Favreau took plenty of time out to update his fans on its progress, using a series of video clips showing Sofia Vergara shaking it to Cuban rhythms, John Leguizamo getting down and dirty in the kitchen, and plenty of onlooking Miamians making their own surprise cameo.

That's not just any night at Hoy Como Ayer -- this one has Sofia Vergara and a very lucky kid doing the Cuban shimmy.

Like any good tourist, Favreau led his crew to Versailles.

The crew also hit up the Fontainebleau. (Kinda makes you miss Magic City, huh?)

Miami's own Jefe's Original Fish Taco food truck gets a cameo!

And a star on board -- that's John Leguizamo in the apron.

There's also some drama brewing behind this story of food truck redemption. According to Slashfilm, an entirely different script titled Chef was scheduled to be produced years ago. The project lost its original director (David Fincher), but has since been resuscitated with John Wells in the director's chair and Bradley Cooper as its star. Favreau's script was written during the downtime, but now the Weinstein Company, which is funding the Bradley Cooper version, wants its name back. Cue the legal battle.

Still, while the Hollywood lawyers battle it out, Favreau's moving forward with his production. We have a few ideas for new titles if Chef doesn't work out. El Jefe has a nice ring to it, no?
