Everyone can't seem to stop raving about last night's return of Beavis and Butt-head to MTV. What could have been a disaster of epic proportions (you aren't suppose to mess with a teenage classic) actually turned out to be a great return for the duo. Mike Judge seems to realize that what made Beavis and Butt-head great was its mockery, and at the same time a celebration, of teenage culture.

And if the amazing return of Beavis and Butt-head wasn't enough, creator Mike Judge said another classic MTV character, Daria, may be returning as well. Judge told Vice magazine:

I've been asked that question so much lately that I was thinking maybe

we should bring her back. I always liked that character, but my

producers at the time said, "You know, we're thinking of spinning this

show off," and I thought, "Oh, that's a good idea." But they became

determined to do it without me, I guess, so they went and hired all

these people--I had no idea. So I was a little pissed off about that, and

I just disassociated myself with it. I liked the character, and I know

they had a couple of great writers on that show, so it must have been

pretty good, but, yeah, a lot of people seem to want that character

back.

Yea, technically Judge had no involvement with the spin-off series Daria, but if it weren't for the original character we wouldn't have had one of the best opening sequences -- and theme songs -- ever.

So in celebration of Daria's possible return, here's some memorable Daria, both from Beavis and Butt-head and the spin-off, we culled from the interwebs.

5. Brittany teaches Daria how to speak.

Airhead cheerleader Brittany recommends to Daria that she end every sentence in a question so she sounds more cheery. Daria comes back at Brittany saying perhaps it's the squeak in her voice.

4. Daria is edgy.

After Mr. O'Neill submits an essay Daria wrote to an teen magazine contest, the editor decides that Daria is the new edgy, it-girl. Nobody seems to know what "edgy" is, and in classic Daria fashion, goes in a spiel about how market research and corporations appropriated the word edgy to sell youth culture. And in classic Daria fashion, nobody cares.

3. Daria's Sick Sad World.

"Are fish using our oceans as their own private toilet?"

2. Daria and Jane sell chocolates.

Daria and Jane feel a moral obligation to not sell an obviously obese woman chocolate bars to raise money for the new student coffee house. However, the woman doesn't seem to take no for an answer.

1. Beavis and Butt-heads and Daria's science project.

Straight-A student Daria has to work with Beavis and Butt-head on a science project. The duo keep calling Daria "diarrhea," but the joke is sort of on them. Daria's science project is measuring Beavis and Butt-head's stupidity.
