Imagine you're a lonely, dorky high school senior in L.A. You're Jewish, 5'9" on a good day, and you can't dance. All you have are your skills with a digital camera and your Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, the one with Kate Upton on the cover. You sure as hell don't have a date to prom.
So you ask Kate Upton via YouTube. And the video goes viral, and Kate Upton responds that she'd love to attend ... but then backs out due to scheduling conflicts.
What's the best possible ending to your story? How about Nina Agdal, another Sports Illustrated model and frequent Miami Beach visitor, stepping into Upton's place?
That's exactly what happened to Jake Davidson, a senior at Milken Community High School who posted the following video to YouTube:
Upton initially took him up on the offer, tweeting "you can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I'll check my schedule : )"
But Upton's busy cat daddying and Flo Rida performing schedule wouldn't allow her to make the date. Agdal, on the other hand, was totally in -- she never got to go to a prom of her own, Davidson's mother told the San Bernardino Sun.
Turns out, it was a match made in Internet heaven. Unlike cat daddy champ Upton, Agdal's skills on the dance floor matched those of her date.
"You're a bad dancer, too!" she laughed with Davidson. "That's why we can be friends."
