Well, friends, another week of pure Miami weirds has come to a close.
This week, we saw interesting weirdness, in the form of this town's weirdest local landmarks. We saw sexy weirdness, like Vivid Entertainment's strip club that'll be bringing celebrity porn dabblers like Farrah Abraham and Sydney Leathers to Miami. And we saw disturbing and decidedly un-sexy weirdness like the FIU frat guys who openly sold drugs and swapped nude pics of their female classmates on Facebook.
Could've done without that last one.
Now, it's time to shake it off and start over. If there's anything weirder than a week in Miami, it's a Miami weekend. And the next three days of reunited '90s bands, half-naked firefighters, and d-list pro wrestlers, are no exception.
Friday
Marc Anthony: We bet he still has a little diva glitter left over from J-Lo. Try spotting it from the nosebleeds at American Airlines Arena.
Ali Shaheed Muhammad vs. Maseo: De La Soul vs. A Tribe Called Quest. It's an epic old-school hip-hop battle, right in your own backyard.
Blow Me: No, it's not a VIP preview of Vivid Live. It's Mad Cat Theatre Company's new show about fashion people.
Saturday
Legends of Wrestling Night at Marlins Park: Still pissed at Loria? Maybe these greased-up Hulk wannabes will change your mind.
South Florida Firefighters Calendar Launch: You know you want it, you hunky men in suspenders you. We hate these blurred lines....
Fishoutawata Music Festival: Jam out at Tobacco Road -- for a good cause.
Improv Fight Club: The first rule of Improv Fight Club is you don't talk about Improv Fight Club. (Laughing is acceptable, though.)
Sunday
Backstreet Boys at Cruzan Amphitheater: Did you see that stoner film This Is The End? Fine, we won't ruin the ending for you.
Cristela Alonzo at Miami Improv: Still think women can't be funny? Don't tell that to Alonzo, or she will cut you.
Mat Collishaw: Spent all weekend cheating on your diet? Collishaw's haunting images of death row inmates' last meals will curb that appetite.
