Our stupefied disbelief refers to the latest announcement from Speedfreek, Miami's leading connoisseur of metal, hardcore, and every combination of every permutation of both genres and their extended, interwoven family trees.

Just yesterday, we were crapping our Amebix butt-flaps at the news that The Freek is importing legendary Californian crusties Capitalist Casualties for a completely insane 20-band mini-fest of powerviolent proportions.

We had barely finished wiping when we caught word the promotion powerhouse has revealed yet another absolutely deranged extreme rock live music exhibition featuring super-cult punk-metal from the West Coast: proto-powerviolence mosh monsters Infest.

Believe it or not, this will be the infamous ultra-left straight-edge hardcore unit's first show outside of its homestate ever.

And Speedfreek is pulling all the stops, fixin' all the trimmin', and sparing no expense to make this not only a night to remember, but an evening inked onto your temporal lobe like a Carnie face-tat etched onto the mean mug of Joe Dumpster.

As though fucking Infest wasn't enough, the "opening acts" include a star-studded cast of brutaluminaries: Gainesville PV crew Assholeparade, D.C. grindcore goons Magrudergrind, mysterious guy HC troupe Vaccine, and Miami's almighty raging Shitstorm.
