This weekend, Bicentennial Park will be flooded by an international wave of beat-makers and pookie heads for Ultra Music Festival. But just a half-mile west of downtown's loudest outdoor fiesta, Shit Robot will pop his Miami cherry on Friday at the Vagabond, two days before hitting Ultra's Heineken Dome.
Marcus Lambkin, the Irish-bred, German-born mastermind behind Shit Robot, is invading the United States with The Shit Robot Show, an A/V mindfuck that includes "custom designed visuals" accompanying "re-worked tracks" from the producer's back catalogue as he performs behind a customized screen.
Last year, Shit Robot released From the Cradle to the Rave, an eclectic blend of disco, house, and groovy funk neatly packaged in an hour-long dance record produced by none other than DFA Records and LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy.

"I like to make retarded dance music for people to get drunk and dance to," Lambkin says in his bio. When Lambkin met Murphy in New York in the late '90s, it triggered "the start of a beautiful bromance." The two shared a passion for music, and developed a unique sound -- a sound we'll be drunkenly dancing to this Friday night.
