Really, we don't know why are shocked anymore. It's getting obvious that clubs are grasping anything in order to stay afloat. But during our daily Pitchfork read, we stumbled upon the news that M.I.A./Santogold producer/DJ Diplo would be spinning at LIV alongside Dave 1 of Chromeo Wednesday, March 4.

LIV is the megaclub located inside the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach. We personally haven't stopped by the venue, for several reasons: We've been told it's basically like Mansion but at the Fontainebleau, and it's one of those dress-to-impress places that we at times don't want to have to deal with. But these bookings might definitely make us reconsider.

If you are unfamiliar with Diplo, he basically introduced the word baile funk into the American vernacular. He grew up in South Florida but rose to fame in Philadelphia where he, along with Low B, hosted and DJ'd at the infamous Hollertronix party. He gain even more notoriety after pairing up with M.I.A. for the Piracy Funds Terrorism Vol. 1 mixtape. He was actually up for a Grammy this year, alongside M.I.A., for producing the track "Paper Planes."
