President Obama's in Florida today, campaigning 'round the Sunshine State and asking for money to help fund his re-election run.
As y'all know, however, times are rough. And that remaining $10 from last week's paycheck can either go toward helping POTUS secure four more years in the White House or paying off your bar tab.

Little Haiti Cultural Center, 212 NE 59th Terr., Miami. Admission is free. He's one of Haiti's favorite folk musicians. And this Friday, he'll bring empowering troubadou music to Big Night in Little Haiti.

Palo! and Cheese BallFriday, July 20, 11 p.m., PAX, 337 SW Eighth St., Miami. Admission is $10. OK, doors actually open much earlier and you can enjoy complimentary cheese from 8 to 9:30 p.m., but it's a performance by Palo! that we're most excited about.
Pool Party Record Release Show. Saturday, July 21, 9 p.m., Churchill's Pub, 5501 NE Second Ave., Miami. Admission is under $10, "cheaper" if you wear pool party clothing. You can rock a bikini bottom and sunscreen. Or flip-flops and a thong. You know, summer casual.
All My Friends: LCD Soundsystem Movie Release Party Saturday, July 21, 10 p.m., Grand Central, 697 N. Miami Ave., Miami. Free. Just because LCD Soundsystem is no more doesn't mean the spirit of the group has to die. Local bands perform covers of some of your favorite LCD tracks in honor of the new concert movie, Shut Up and Play the Hits.
Summer School All-Stars. Saturday, July 21, 8 p.m., Sweat Records, 5505 NE Second Ave., Miami. Admission is free. It's all-ages show spotlighting some the city's best socially conscious hip-hop.
Bloody Mary and Thugfucker. Saturday, July 21, 11 p.m., Treehouse, 323 23rd St., Miami Beach. Admission is $10. The only place to catch artists of this caliber is New Times' best small music venue.
