All we know is that in 2013 Daft Punk has promised the world a new album.
It will be their first studio since 2005's Human After All -- a superb experiment in robotic mass consumerism. And after having a TV commercial pop-up during Saturday Night Live earlier this month and posters plastered across Austin during SXSW, it's only natural that the next stop on the teaser tour is downtown Miami, which is in the midst of Ultra Music Festival.

The billboard is located on the empty lot between the Marina Blue building and the Freedom Tower, on the corner of NE Eighth Street and Second Avenue.
During SXSW, the rumor mill kept saying Daft Punk would perform. But that never happened.
What's to say Daft Punk doesn't pop up during weekend two of Ultra 2013, though? If anything would top last year's Madonna "Have you seen Molly?" moment it definitely would be that. And when we spoke to the festival's cofounder Russell Faibisch about what surprises he had in store for this year's UMF, he told us to expect something "bigger than Madonna."
But in the end, this could just be another tease from those damn robots.
