Hey, racist America!
Remember Marc Anthony, that raging Mexican impostor that crooned "God Bless America" at the MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday? Turns out, he's a good ol' Yankee. Even better, the Puerto Rican-American, Grammy-winning recording artist was born in New York State, and grew up in East Harlem, not too far from Queens' Citi Field, where the baseball gathering took place.
The singer appeared on LIVE with Kelly and Michael on Thursday to promote his upcoming word tour. He also "set the record straight."

In the interview with Ripa and Strahan, he affirmed, "There were some statements made that people were upset that they would have somebody from another country sing the national anthem. But to set the record straight, I was born and raised in New York, you can't get more New York than me."
After Anthony opened the game with the patriotic song, Twitter exploded with some downright bigoted, effing mierda. As from the "Public Shaming" Tumblr site:
Unfortunately, xenophobia seems common at sporting events. In June, Mexican-American 11-year-old Sebastien De La Cruz was lambasted for his rendition of the national anthem at Game 3 of the NBA finals in San Antonio. The kid was called an "illegal alien" and a "foreigner."
In 2010, Latins made up 63.2 percent of San Antonio's population. Meanwhile, New York has the largest Puerto Rican population outside of, uh, Puerto Rico.
Oh, and it's not like 27.1 percent of MLB players are of "Hispanic background" or anything ...
Guess it's OK for Latinos to play the sport and rep America's pastime. But those intruders shouldn't be allowed to sing our song. It just wouldn't be true to the red, white and blue.
Don't worry, Marc Anthony, when you play the American Airlines Arena at the end of August, the more than 1.5 million "Mexicans" and "spics" in the 305 will love your "God Bless America."
