With your anemic attention span fed on endless helpings of Adult Swim, Count Chocula, and hot chronic, maybe a night of partying alongside Brooklyn rap punks Ninjasonik doesn't sound all that exciting.
Well, bro, you need to get off that jaded hipster ish because these three cross-genre scientists are the real fucking deal. Whether you're talking singles like "Ha Ha Ha," "Somebody Gonna Get Pregnant," or "Internet Bitch," Jah-Jah, Telli, and Roofeeo keep it street while still weirding out. They throw down deep, druggy beats. They chop up samples with a samurai sword. They spit lazy, crazy rhymes like there's something stuck in their teeth.
Basically, the members of the Ninjasonik crew live by a code of everything goes, grabbing liberally from, as their own hype says, "Slick Rick and the Sex Pistols" to pound out a pure and vicious pop-rap-punk mashup of awesomely uneven proportions. It's a throwback thing. It's an evolved experiment. It's all about dumb fun and civil disobediance.
And what? You're gonna dis it, bro? Stop posing, let's party.
