It's been entirely too long, 14 years since a Monica and Brandy collaboration. However, the wait may soon be over.

"The Boy Is Mine" divas spent this past weekend inside a Miami studio laying down vocals for "Turn the Lights On," a track off Monica's forthcoming record, New Life.

Monica tweeted a digi-collage of herself, Brandy, Rico Love, and Breyon Prescott looking unbeweavably "blessed beyond measure." Over 100 people retweeted the news and several commented on the picture.

Check out what they had to say after the jump.

In 1998, "The Boy Is Mine" spent 13 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 and on heavy MTV rotation. The world subsequently fell in love with Brandy and Monica.

Ms. Cooke-Larke is singlehandedly keeping the CD business afloat, opting for compact discs instead of MP3s. We salute you, m'am.

Shortly after, Monica tweeted, Rico Love claimed that his dreams "come true on a daily basis" via Twitter and gave a shout-out to God.

Nick Cofer's already predicting a Grammy, perhaps a repeat of the girls' 1999 Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

Not sure if Brandy feels the same way, though.

Raspy or not, Broderick Thompson's ready to make Brandy his wifey.

Wait, what?
