Born in Chicago and residing in Brooklyn, Brenmar is one of the hottest producers on the underground scene. His up-tempo productions have hipsters and hip-hop heads doing double takes on dance floors across the nation and the globe. Whether he’s slinging an original, remix, club edit, or DJ set, Brenmar knows how to bring the boss bass to make your booty rumble. Brenmar says he makes “club music for the present,” but he sure takes a lot of influence from club music of the ’80s and ’90s — not that there’s anything wrong with that. His beats are sometimes dark, sometimes fast, but always spunky and catchy enough to force your body into motion. He’s been tapped for his talents by some hot artists, including fellow Brooklyn party-starter Mykki Blanco and fashion design house Kenzo Paris. With beats like those, Brenmar is sure to blow past the underground into the stratosphere. Catch him this Saturday in the intimate atmosphere of Bardot (3456 N. Miami Ave., Miami). The show starts at 10 p.m., and tickets cost $10 to $15. Come early to enjoy rocking opening sets by Will Buck and Gooddroid. Call 305-576-5570 or visit bardotmiami.com.
