It’s all part of the lineup transforming Coconut Grove into an art lover’s Eden this weekend. You can catch the old-school art party in paradise from 7 to 10 p.m. during the monthly Coconut Grove Gallery Walk, where Boswell Mourot Fine Art (3162 Commodore Plaza) is opening “Bella Donna,” an intoxicating, multimedia exhibit celebrating notions of womanhood with works by Helen Broadfoot, Karen Deilke, Beverly McLarty, and Diana Ashley. At the RODEZart.com gallery (3015 Grand Ave., Ste. 237) “In the House” boasts a roundup of abstract forms created in a diverse array of media from stable artists including George Goodridge, Ivan Hurtado-Lorenzo, and Santos Mendez. And at FrameWorks Gallery (3196 Commodore Plaza), local favorite Ronald Shelley brings his unique vision of the area’s environmental grandeur indoors with his show “Florida Formations,” featuring an eye-catching collection of whimsical paintings and sculptures. Aspiring performers of all ages are invited to join the Coconut Grove Drum Circle, organized by Karen Deilke and Mark Richards, for a collective beat-down on the more than 25 drums and sundry percussion instruments the pair has collected to help revelers get their trance on. The July edition of the Grove’s art crawl also boasts complimentary snacks and beverages, and is free to the public.
