This summer, Kiss will team up with Mötley Crüe for The Tour, while Def Leppard, Poison, and Lita Ford join forces for Rock of Ages. But if you spent the better part of your adolescence getting high and listening to funky reggae-inspired alt-rock, the only show worth catching is the Unity Tour.

Later this year, Unity's resident stoner crew, Slightly Stoopid, is scheduled to release its seventh full-length, Top of the World. Meanwhile, the tour's linchpin, 311, continues to ride the wave of last year's Universal Pulse, the group's tenth studio effort. "The great thing about music is it's a never-ending journey," 311 frontman Nick Hexum recently told a group of students at L.A.'s Musicians Institute. "There are always new frontiers to check out."

Though it's the first time Hexum and his band have hit the road with Slightly Stoopid, the Unity Tour is anything but new. In 2006, 311 played 37 shows in 27 states with Pepper and the Wailers. And since then, the English Beat, Matisyahu, the Offspring, and even Snoop Dogg have all joined 311 on this annual summer road trip.

Why this is Slightly Stoopid's first time on the bill, however, is beyond us. It's about damn time, dudes.
